The European Parliament’s Rapporteur for Moldova, Lithuanian MEP Petras Auštrevičius is paying a visit to Chisinau on February 8-11, IPN reports.

According to the Moldovan Parliament’s press service, the official will have meetings with President Nicolae Timofti, Prime Minister Pavel Filip, Deputy Speaker Liliana Palihovici and Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Andrei Galbur. He will also discuss with Moldovan MPs and politicians.

MEP Petras Auštrevičius is also the coordinator of the annual program of cooperation between the European Parliamentsand the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova for 2016. Within the program, Moldova’s Parliament will enjoy assistance in adjusting the national legislation to the Community acquis and in strengthening the capacities of the parliamentary commissions.
