The Moldovans will be informed about the essence of the legislative amendments and reforms done in the European integration process within a broad information campaign initiated by the civic platform European Moldova Movement. The movement, which was officially launched on April 15, aims to involve the entire population in the European integration process. Its motto is “Together for the European Moldova – European future for our children”.
In a news conference at IPN, the Movement’s head Lilia Snegureac said the members of the civic platform will travel to all the regions of the country to tell the people about the benefits of the European integration. Opinion leaders, ambassadors of EU countries in Moldova, political analysts and other countries will be involved in this process. They will plainly explain the necessity of amending the legislation and combating corruption and other actions needed in the process of coming closer to the EU.
“The European integration of Moldova is not a political matter only. It is also an economic, cultural ad social matter that affects the whole society. With the help of the local public authorities, the local NGOs and the mass media, we will transmit the message that the European integration is the best method of fundamentally transforming our country,” stated Lilia Snegureac.
She underlined that the European Moldova Movement does not aim to come to power or to make profit. Lilia Snegureac invited all those who want to voluntarily promote the European message. “We invite all those who care about Moldova’s European future and who understand that the country’s children and people deserve a better future to become actively involved in the Movement’s actions and to be real emissaries of Europe,” she said.
Discussions with the people on the European integration process and its benefits will be organized in Gagauzia and Transnistria too.
