European integration process is in full swing, acting Premier

The European integration process is in full swing and the agenda we set will be implemented step by step, acting Prime Minister Vlad Filat said on his return from Brussels, where he took part in the Summit of the European People’s Party, Info-Prim Neo reports. In a press briefing at the Chisinau International Airport on March 15, Vlad Filat said he furnished comprehensive information about the political situation in Moldova and the country’s European prospects in Brussels. He discussed with a number of European officials and was assured that Moldova has sincere friends. In the meeting with European Commissioner for Health and Consumer Policy Tonio Borg, Vlad Filat was informed that the EU will provide an extra €20 million to Moldova, €6 million of which will be used in healthcare, while the rest in the rural health infrastructure. A new round of talks on the Association Agreement was held in Brussels on March 11-15. On March 15, the EU mission that came to Chisinau to assess the joint actions implemented with a view to obtaining a liberalized visa regime completed its task.
