Chisinau will host the European Heritage Days that will last for almost two weeks. Vice director of the National Museum of Ethnography and Natural History Varvara Buzila has told IPN that the event’s motto is “Europe, a common heritage”.
The official launch of the European Heritage Days in Moldova will take place at the Museum of Ethnography on September 19, at 14.00. On this occasion, there will be mounted a photo exhibition themed “Cultural heritage – bridge to the future”. There will be presented the Red List of Moldova’s Cultural Heritage and held the roundtable meeting “Cultural Heritage of Moldova: from reality to necessity”.
On September 21, the National Museum of Arts of Moldova will give the Open Doors Day and will present the museum’s experience in implementing crossborder projects. There will be also held a session of communications themed “Ion Druta’s works – essential component of Moldova’s intangible cultural patrimony”.
The Museum-House “A.S. Pushkin” and the museum’s branch in the mansion of the Ralli family in Dolna village will mount exhibitions about European writers who celebrate anniversaries in 2013. There will be organized trips themed “Pushkin in Moldova and the European values in his works” and presented a literary-musical program titled “Europe and we”.
Exhibitions, launches and roundtable meetings will be staged in a number of museums by September 30.
