Small and medium-sized enterprises based in rural areas of Moldova can access financing of up to 383,000 lei to modernize processes. Solidarity Fund PL in Moldova, with the financial assistance of the European Union, launched a new call for grants to streamline agri-food value chains, IPN reports.

The financial support is intended for the purchase, installation and commissioning of equipment that will ensure the transformation of raw and semi-processed materials into finished products.

Ten companies already benefit from this support following their participation in the call for project proposals launched in October 2024.

The grants can be used to modernize production processes by purchasing machinery and equipment, such as refrigerators, ovens, oil presses, packaging and labeling lines, processing and storage machinery.

The initiative is part of the project "EU4Moldova: Resilient County - Strong Communities". The total budget of the grant call is over 3.4 million lei.
