Moldovan institutions and organizations could apply for funding provided by the European Commission in areas related to human rights. The parliamentary commission for foreign policy and European integration approved the advisory opinion for initiating and signing the agreement with the European Union in this regard, IPN reports.
The EU’s Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values” program has four pillars: “Equality, Rights and Gender Equality”, “Citizens’ engagement and participation”, “Daphne - fight violence, including gender-based violence and violence against children”, and “Union values”.
Funding will be offered for initiatives to support civil society, raise citizens’ awareness of their rights and the benefits of EU policies in their daily lives, and develop knowledge-based EU policies and legislation through surveys, studies and analyses.
The €1.55 billion Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values (CERV) program was launched in 2021 and will run for seven years until 2027.
