European Commission to grant Moldova €42.6M for energy sector reform
The Cabinet is to launch negotiations with the European Commission on a financing agreement for the Budget Support in Energy Sector Reform Program, Info-Prim Neo reports.
Deputy Economy Minister Octavian Calmic said the agreement will provide for a €42.6 million financing in the form of a grant. The money will be used to implement actions provided in Moldova's Energy Strategy until 2020.
The grant will be disbursed in three installments, starting from the fourth quarter of this year, on condition that the agreed performance criteria are observed.
