The President of the European Commission Jose Manuel Barroso encourages the Moldovan authorities to continue to implement the same approach so as to achieve the set objectives. In a telephone conversation with Prime Minister Vlad Filat, the official said that the European Commission and he personally will continue to support Moldova in the process of implementing reforms, reunifying the country and integrating into the European Union, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to a communiqué from the Government, the Premier said that the European integration is an absolute priority for Moldova. Therefore, the broad reformation process started earlier must be continued as it will be the people who will benefit in the end. “We hope that in March we will close the negotiations on the Association Agreement so that we are ready for the Eastern Partnership Summit of Vilnius,” said Vlad Filat. Jose Manuel Barroso paid a visit to Moldova last November. While in Chisinau, he had meetings with the senior state officials. The European official delivered a speech at the National Palace, where there were about 2,000 people.
