European Commission invites children to drawing competition

The European Commission announces the launch of a drawing competition for children aged between 8 and 10 residing and attending school in one of the seven following regions: Africa, Asia, Caribbean, Latin America, Mediterranean and Middle East, other European Countries including the Easter Neighbours of the EU and Pacific. Children must be nationals of the country where the competition is taking place. The drawings focusing on the International Women's Day can be sent to the European Union's Delegation in the country from where the participant is by May 14, Info-Prim Neo reports. In a communiqué, the organizers say the drawing must be produced on an A4 size sheet, the caption should not exceed 5 lines and must be on the same side as the drawing, the first name, the last name and the age of the child must be written on the back of the drawing, together with her/his grade and the address of the school. A prize equivalent to €1,000 will be offered to the winners from each region participating to the competition. The European Commission will keep all drawings submitted. The drawings of the winners will be published in a booklet which will be distributed to the schools of the participating countries.
