Anatolie Viniciuc, the acting director of the public institution "Single national emergency number 112", Anatolie Viniciuc, addressed this message on the occasion of the European Day of the single emergency number 112, marked on Tuesday in Moldova, IPN reports.

The acting director of the public institution, Anatolie Viniciuc, emphasized that the number "112" is not just a combination of digits, but also a symbol of extraordinary commitment, of a quick and efficient response that can make the difference between life and death. Viniciuc said that for seven years, regardless of the time or circumstances, the 112 team has "unconditionally dedicated its time and energy to respond to the urgent needs of citizens in critical situations".

Anatolie Viniciuc said that the work of 112 Service employees must be respected, appreciating the efforts of the team that "every day is by the side of those who need help".

Minister of Internal Affairs Daniella Misail-Nichitin expressed her gratitude for "every call successfully handled, for every quick decision taken with lucidity and great responsibility" by the 112 Service employees. "It is a shared commitment - to improve the response time, to optimize every step of this process and to make sure that every call is answered quickly and efficiently," the minister stressed.

"Today we are celebrating you and reaffirming our support and commitment to make this service as close as possible to the citizens", Daniella Misail-Nichitin addressed the 112 Service employees.

During the event, representatives of the single national emergency call service 112 were awarded with honorary diplomas and conferred corporate distinctions from the Ministry of Internal Affairs - the Cross of Merit. The winners of the titles of Operator of the Year, Shift Manager of the Year and Engineer of the Year were also named.

The European emergency number 112 was created in 1991, and since 2009 it is the only number that can be used from any landline or mobile phone to receive emergency services free of charge in all EU countries.
