Eugeniu Cebotaru is returning to Romanian football after signing for the freshly promoted Academica Clinceni, where he will be colleagues with the goalkeeper and fellow Moldovan Nicolae Calancea.
The 34-year-old footballer leaves Sibir Novosibirsk after playing for six years in Russia’s second league. Cebotaru previously played in Romania from 2007 to 2012, with Ceahlăul Piatra-Neamţ, which he captained. The midfielder also played for Spartak Nalchik and Zimbru Chișinău.
Eugeniu Cebotaru earned 56 caps for the national team.
