Eugenia Ostapciuc demands Marian Lupu should withdraw his candidacy for presidency
Communist MP Eugenia Ostapciuc, former Head of Parliament, called on the leader of the Democratic Party Marian Lupu, who is the Alliance for European Integration's candidate for head of state, to withdraw his candidacy. The call was made from a microphone at Thursday's meeting of the Parliament, Info-Prim Neo reports.
“I have the moral right to demand this and Marian Lupu knows why,” Eugenia Ostapciuc said, promising that she will make a statement on this issue at the next sitting of the Parliament.
Asked to comment on Ostapciuc's assertions, Marian Lupu said he has fever and angina and cannot speak.
As he was ill, Marian Lupu attended only the first part of the sitting, when the issues from the agenda where put to the vote. Afterward, he left the assembly hall.
