Eugene Ionesco to stage Andersen’s Nightingale

In the course of November the “Eugene Ionesco” Theatre will present a premiere and the National Theatre “Mihai Eminescu” will show 10 plays. On November 7, “Eugene Ionesco” will show the first performance of “The Nightingale” by Hans Christian Andersen, directed by Vitalie Drucec. The play will be performed again every day until November 12, starting 6:00 pm, at the Culture and Art Centre “Ginta Latina”. The Grand Hall of the National Theatre “Mihai Eminescu” will host Shakespeare’s “A Mid-Summer Night’s Dream” on November 1. On November 2 and 3 the National Theatre will present “In a Snake's Skin”, based on a play by Tennessee Williams, and on November 4 – Moliere’s “Doctor in Spite of Himself”. “The Last Hour” by Mihail Sebastian will be played on November 8 and 9. The play “Apple Flowers” by V. Turcanu will be performed on November 10, and Manfred Karge’s “The South Pole” on November 11. The play “Uncle Vanya” by Anton Chekhov is scheduled for November 25. Te National Theatre’s Studio Hall “Valeriu Cupcea” welcomes spectators for “The Snow of Yesterday” by Dumitru Solomon (On November 6 and 7) and for “The Door” by Matei Visniec (November 20 and 21). All the performances at “Mihai Eminescu” will start at 5:00 pm.
