The building of Eugene Ionesco Theater on Renasterii str. will be renovated from 2008 to 2010.
Info –Prim Neo has learnt form the relevant plan approved of by the Government that the renovation process will have a number of stages and will take over 11 million lei.
Artur Cozma, the Culture and Tourism Minister has said the building – which used to hold a leisure entity and a cinema before – was put in commission in 1965 and is not adapted for theatrical performances. Its stage has to be installed again, its interior – modernized, as well as the water supply and drainage network.
The Cabinet bought the building form a company and sold it to Eugene Ionesco Theater against 35 million lei.
