Former Minister of Defense Eugen Sturza says that the lack of cooperation between the Ministry of Defense and President Igor Dodon, during his term, was the main subject of yesterday's statements of the current Minister of Defense, Pavel Voicu. Eugen Sturza wrote on Facebook that "he accepts the socialist minister's frustrations, yet he cannot accept the falsehoods and lies the minister operates with".

Eugen Sturza says that, being the minister of defense, he never issued himself a service weapon. He was awarded two weapons by the leadership of the General Staff in appreciation of his effort made during his term of office. "I hope that the activity of Mr. Voicu will also be appreciated in terms of achievements and will also be honored... or maybe not. In this area, as in politics, it is very important not to burn bridges and to be courteous” says Eugen Sturza.

The former defense minister disapproves of the current minister's criticism of the disastrous state of the National Army. He recalls that, during his term, the socialists were protesting in front of the NATO Information Center, demanding the liquidation of the National Army, due to it being a budget burden. However, the current minister takes pictures on the background of the projects initiated by the former one.

Eugen Sturza added that the "hot" topics made public by Pavel Voicu had been previously investigated by both the press, as well as by him on different occasions. The results of the investigations have already been sent to the Prosecutor's Office and those who will be found guilty of any illegality, should answer for their crimes.
