“The historic moment has come and the Republic of Moldova goes determinedly towards the east, towards the big European family. We belong to Europe!” composer Eugen Doga stated in the European Moldova Assembly, IPN reports.

Eugen Doga noted that the sun goes from west to east and Moldova’s path is also to the east, to Europe. “To better see the old and always young Europe, to know it better and to feel it, to see us Europeans in the full meaning of this word, we must take off the tainted glasses and the blockage from the years and follow the path of the sun. This path, this great miracle that gave us life – the sun – doesn’t lie,” the master said on the stage set up in the central square of Chisinau.

“When we speak about Europe, we see the one that was created by God, not the one that is always harassed, polluted with powder gun and splashed with blood. We and all the people want to build a peaceful, modern, rich and dignified Europe,” said Eugen Doga. “We are Europe! Europe is our home! Long live, dear Europe!”
