Eugen Doga hospitalized in Moscow

Moldovan composer Eugen Doga has been admitted to a hospital in Moscow. The Russian press reported that the master suffers from a heart disease, IPN reports.

According to Lifenews.ru, the 78-year-old composer went to the Moscow-based Institute of Clinical Cardiology “A.L. Myasnikov” for consultation and was hospitalized there. He is to be subject to a complete physical examination.

Master Eugen Doga is known as one of the most famous film score composers in the post-Soviet area. He made his debut with the music for the comedy “A guard is wanted”, produced by “Moldova-film” Studio in 1967. He wrote music for over 200 films, including “Wedding at the place”, “Alone in front of love”, “Ten winters for one summer”, “The Fiddlers”, and “My sweet and tender beast”. He also contributed to developing the animated cartoons sector in Moldova, composing the scores for “The goat and her three kids”, “Maria Mirabela”, “Guguta” and others.
