Eugen Carpov: Chisinau will make effort for 5+2 format talks to advance

Acting Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Eugen Carpov assured that the Moldovan authorities will continue to make effort for the Transnistrian conflict settlement talks in the 5+2 format to advance. Eugen Carpov had a meeting with the Special Representative of the Serbian OSCE Chairperson-in-Office for the Transnistrian Settlement Process Ambassador Radojko Bogojević, IPN reports.

“Together, in a difficult year at regional level, we ensured the continuity of the dialogue in the negotiation process and stability in the Security Zone,” stated Eugen Carpov, being quoted in a communique of the Reintegration Office.

The official said the unilateral and uncoordinated actions of Tiraspol have lately intensified and underlined that after the new Government is invested, the activities of the working groups and the meetings between the chief negotiators will resume.

Ambassador Radojko Bogojević reiterated the necessity of maintaining the political dialogue active in the settlement process and of improving the activity of the sector working groups.

Within the visit to Moldova on February 9-10, the Special Representative of the Serbian OSCE Chairperson-in-Office for the Transnistrian Settlement Process is paying also a visit to Tiraspol.
