The political representatives of Chisinau and Tiraspol to the Transnistrian conflict settlement talks, Eugen Carpov and Nina Shtanski, will have a meeting in Chisinau on January 23. This is their first meeting this year. The two will meet at the new head office of the OSCE Mission to Moldova, situated on Al. Mateevici St, IPN reports.

According to the information published on the official website of the Reintegration Office, one of the main subjects for discussion is the preparations for the first round of talks in the 5+2 format this year, which will take place at the end of February.

The officials will also discuss the situation of the eight Moldovan-administered, Romanian-language schools in Transnistria. At the beginning of this year, the accounts of the Tiraspol Lyceum “Lucian Blaga” were blocked. The Transnistrian administration demands that the eight schools pay taxes.
