The small and medium-sized enterprises operating in water management, waste and renewable energy in Moldova will cooperate with similar EU companies within the P2GreenEST project that is part of the European Green Deal. The launch of the project that aims to facilitate the innovatory European companies’ access to public procurement in the EaP countries was held under the aegis of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Moldova, IPN reports.
One third of the 1.8 trillion euro investments from the NextGenerationEU Recovery Plan, and the EU’s seven-year budget will finance the European Green Deal.
As part of P2GreenEST, clusters and SMEs from the EU and Moldova and from other EaP states will establish partnerships by consultancy and joint participation in public tender contests staged in Eastern European states.
The objectives of P2GreenEST were alleged with the European Commission’s roadmap for reaching climate neutrality in the EU by 2050. This requires the transformation of the EU economy and society. Consequently, the SMEs operating in circular economy will play an important role in achieving these objectives, said speakers.
In the event, there were presented the French cluster “Ea eco-enterprises”, “Green Energy Cluster” of Romania and “Asturias Federacion of Enterprises” of Spain. These will assist partners from Moldova in implementing eco-friendly innovative technologies and practices by offering Help Desk services, organizing economic missions and bilateral business meetings, information and training sessions, etc.
The project was kicked off in June and will last for 30 months.
