EU to provide expertise in public administration reform

Experts of two assistance projects of the European Union will offer support in developing the professional capacities and motivating employees of the public administration. The total value of the project is €4.7 million, IPN reports, with reference to the Government’s press service.

The projects will center on the consolidation of the institutional capacities and human resources of the local and central public authorities in working out, implementing, monitoring and assessing policies and in improving the quality of public services in accordance with the expectations and needs of the people.

A team of experts for another technical assistance project of the EU entitled “Supporting the policy formulation process in the context of the implementation of the Association Agreement” will soon arrive in Chisinau. The project with the budget of €1.8 million will have the State Chancellery, the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration as the main beneficiaries.

All the three projects form part of the financing agreement between the Government of the Republic of Moldova and the European Union for the program of support for the public administration reform under which €15 million in technical assistance will be provided.
