EU to provide assistance to pave way for Moldova's vocational education reform
The European Union will support Moldova with a €5 million project that aims to pave the way for the reform of the vocational education and training in Moldova, Info-Prim Neo reports.
In the information note accompanying the Moldovan Government's decision to initiate negotiations on a financial agreement to this effect, it is said that the technical assistance offered by the EU will be used, among other, to develop a survey on the optimization of the network of vocational schools, to strengthen institutional capacities of the Ministry of Education's relevant divisions and other agencies, create a system of qualifications in vocational education, and hold an awareness-raising campaign on the necessity of the vocational education reform.
The key objective of the reform is to enhance the quality of vocational education and learning outcomes in line with the labor market needs as well as to offer re-training and continuous training opportunities.
