EU neighbors and Caucasian states to discuss restructuring of lending system
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy Valeriu Lazar will take part in a conference centering on the rise in the volume of loans for the Caucasian and Central Asian countries and the neighbors of the EU, which will take place in the Georgian capital of Tbilisi on April 15, Info-Prim Neo reports.
In a communique, the Ministry of Economy says the conference is organized by the International Monetary Fund and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. It will bring together political decision makers and representatives of the private sector and academic circles. The participants will discuss the possibility of restructuring the long-term lending system.
The conference will be attended by economy and finance ministers or central bank governors from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan, bankers, scientists, and representatives of the IMF and EBRD.
