The 11th meeting of the EU-Moldova Parliamentary Association Committee will be held in Strasbourg on April 6-7. The main item on the agenda is the regional security challenges faced by the Republic of Moldova in the context of the Russian invasion of Ukraine and the humanitarian crisis, IPN reports.
The meeting will focus on the EU macro-financial assistance and the implementation of the Post-COVID-19 Economic Recovery Plan for Moldova, the country’s energy security in connection with the situation in Ukraine and the continuation of the European integration of the Republic of Moldova. There will be presented an initiative to extend structural parliamentary cooperation on issues of mutual interest.
The meeting with take place with the participation of the European Parliament’s Committee on Foreign Affairs and Subcommittee on Security and Defense.
In the evening of April 6, the two co-chairpersons of the EU-Moldova Parliamentary Association Committee, Mihail Popșoi and Siegfried Mureșan, will give a joint news conference.
