The EU-Moldova Association Council convenes in Brussels in a week. The Republic of Moldova will be represented by a delegation led by Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilița, IPN reports.
Deputy Prime Minister Nicu Popescu, Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, said the agenda includes a number of issues. “We also want to advance in particular practical accomplishments in our relationship with the European Union,” stated the official. It goes to the building of Moldova’s energy resilience, interconnection in the energy sector and continuous integration into the transport corridors.
It also goes to broader access to the European market and acceleration of liberalization of roaming with the EU. “There are also other important subjects, both for the Republic of Moldova and for our process of joining the European Union,” stated Nicu Popescu.
The meeting of the EU-Moldova Association Council was set for February 7.
