EU Mission consultant robbed by two students
Two students of the Slavonic University, Chisinau, are suspected of breaking into the apartment of an EU Border Assistance Mission consultant, a UK national, Info-Prim Neo reports.
According to the police, the students aged 21 and 22, one Ukrainian national and one Russian, entered the house located on Stefan cel Mare Blvd, 28, rented by the Englishman, 51, who was sleeping at that moment. They stole two mobile telephones, business and credit cards.
The police managed to identify and arrest the thieves who recognized that one of them entered the flat through the half-open window and then opened the door to his accomplice. After they stole the things lying in full view, the two left the flat without waking up the renter.
The two young men are charged with theft. If they will be found guilty, they could spend from 2 to 7 years in jail.
