The EU Delegation to Moldova has inaugurated a Center in Soroca, which will enable the people in northern Moldova to get free access to information about the European Union, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to the EU Delegation, the Center aims to provide the Moldovan public with information and literature covering a wide range of areas, inter alia on EU programs and instruments for European Neighborhood Policy countries, including Moldova, EU legislation, business rules and, not least, culture. The European Union Information Centers network in Moldova receives materials and specialized literature from the Publications Office of the European Union, based in Luxemburg. A cooperation agreement in this respect was signed with every host education institution. Those who want to obtain information about the EU can do it at: “Constantin Stere” High School (Soroca), the Academy of Sciences of Moldova, the State University of Moldova, the University of Medicine and Pharmacy (Chisinau), the State University “Alecu Russo” (Balti), the State University “Bogdan Petriceicu Hasdeu” (Cahul), and the State University of Comrat (Comrat). Seven EU Information Centers have been opened in Moldova since 2007.
