EU impatiently waits to resume cooperation with Moldova, Dirk Schuebel
“The European Union and the member states are impatiently waiting to resume the previous cooperation with the Republic of Moldova. We have many plans. At the same time, we hope there will be established constructive relations with the Opposition if the Communists Party will be in opposition. We also hope that they will be offered several important posts as this country really needs unification and reunification,” the Head of the European Union Delegation to Moldova Dirk Schuebel stated for Info-Prim Neo before Thursday's sitting of Parliament.
Dirk Schuebel said that during his stay in Moldova he had cooperated efficiently with the Alliance for European Integration. It was a good bilateral, Moldova-EU cooperation. “Moldova occupied an unprecedented place in the EU's agenda,” said the European official.
Asked to comment on the post-electoral negotiations, Dirk Schuebel said he expected that the discussions will center more on the foreign policy, internal policy, economic policy and other issues. “I think that the parties should have focused on what they can offer to the country, rather than on the distribution of posts,” Dirk Schuebel said, adding it is natural for a party to be interested in considering the options of another party.
