Estonia will offer assistance to Moldova in European integration process

Estonia backs Moldova in its European integration aspirations and will continue to provide assistance and expertise in this respect, Estonian Foreign Minister Urmas Paet said in a meeting with Prime Minister Iurie Leanca, IPN reports.

According to a communiqué from the Government, the Estonian official expressed his conviction that the Vilnius Summit will be a success for Moldova.

In the meeting, there were discussed different aspects of the Moldovan-Estonian cooperation. Iurie Leanca underlined the positive dynamics of the cooperation between the two states, saying that Moldova wants to learn from Estonia’s experience in different areas, including in meeting the European standards.

Starting with 2000, Estonia’s contribution to implementing projects in Moldova has increased ten times. In 2012, the Estonian Government financed 15 projects with a direct impact in different areas of Moldova. New projects will be implemented in education, scientific researches, and the local and regional public administration with Estonia’s support.
