The new 2014-2020 EU program for education, training, youth and sport “Erasmus +” has been launched. It aims to improve the level of key competences and employability of the youth by modernizing education, training and youth activities, IPN reports.
“Erasmus +” will provide opportunities for over 4 million Europeans to study, train, gain work experience and volunteer abroad. Within the program, higher education institutions will enjoy new possibilities of studying and promoting academic mobility, strengthening institutional capacities and education systems within master’s degree programs, capacity strengthening projects, joint doctorate programs, short-term mobility programs and inter-institutional agreements in higher education.
The seven-year program has a total budget of €14.7 billion, an increase of 40% compared with the investments in the previous program.
