Erasmus+ Moldova launches nationwide information campaign for students

The National Erasmus+ Office in Moldova has launched a nationwide information campaign intended for students interested in European studies. Within information sessions “Erasmus+ Information Day”, those who want to get a scholarship from the European Commission will be able to find out how the EU program for education, training, youth and sport 2014-2020 works. The first session was held at the Academy of Economic Education on September 15, IPN reports.

The team of the Erasmus+ Office in Moldova told the students attending the meeting that participation in this program implies a number of benefits, besides the possibility of studying in an EU country. Thus, the young people are able to know new cultures, to become involved in different activities within the European academic community, to establish new useful relations in the areas of activity.

Within Erasmus+, the Moldovan students can study for a short term, by the mobility of credits, or for a long term, by a common master’s degree program, for 12 to 24 months. To be able to win a scholarship within the program, the applicants must know foreign languages, especially the language of the county for which they apply.

Such informal meetings with students will be held in Balti, Cahul and Comrat, but more details about them will be made public later.

More than 1,000 students and teachers of universities of Moldova have benefitted from mobility through the Erasmus+ program until 2016.
