Equipment worth 2m lei stolen from EU found at company in Colonița

Technical devices to the value of 2 million lei were seized from an agricultural company based in Colonița commune of the municipality of Chisinau. The police said the equipment stolen from EU member states didn’t have documents of origin and were smuggled into Moldova, IPN reports.

According to the Prosecutor’s Office for Organized Crime and Special Cases, the seized equipment included industrial vehicles, including a street sweeper stolen from Italy, an electric generator, portable computers and engines for boats.

There were also found two containers with different goods without documents of origin, which were allegedly smuggled into Moldova after beings stolen in the EU. These included domestic appliances, computation equipment, clothing, building tools, etc. The investigative measures go on.
