The Cabinet supplemented the information system “Energy Vulnerability” with a new module – “Eco-Voucher”. Through the agency of this, there will be implemented the mechanism for supporting the program to provide financial assistance for optimizing the consumption of energy resources by vulnerable consumers, IPN reports.

The Ministry of Labor and Social Protection said the module “Eco-Voucher” will enable to digitize the projects to offer financial support for optimizing the consumption of energy resources and utilizing renewable energy resources, to monitor the process of implementing these programs and to keep centralized records of beneficiaries and business entities involved in the “e-Voucher” program.

The module will be managed by the Energy Efficiency Agency of the Ministry of Energy.

Through the agency of the same project, the concept of the information system “Energy Vulnerability” was adjusted to the amendments made earlier to the Law on the Energy Vulnerability Reduction Fund so as to introduce two new categories of energy vulnerability – extreme and primary – and to  provide a monthly monetary payment by way of compensation.
