The public buildings that do not meet the minimum energy efficiency requirements will be renovated. Parliament adopted a bill to this effect in the final reading, IPN reports.
As from 2024, the buildings of the central authorities that are over 250 square meters in are and do not meet the minimum energy efficiency standards will be repaired. Estimates show that the cost will vary between 27 and 32 million lei.
There will also be created the National Integrated System in the field of energy efficiency through which the use of energy and water and the costs incurred for maintaining public buildings will be monitored.
The bill was passed by the votes of 59 MPs.
