On Monday, January 20, electricity consumption is projected to be 16% higher compared to Sunday. However, due to the warmer weather, the consumption is expected to be lower compared to last Monday, January 13. Energocom said that the consumption forecast for today is fully covered, IPN reports.

The electricity demand of the Republic of Moldova (the right bank of the Nistru) will be covered by electricity generated by district heating plants in Chisinau and Balti, energy produced by renewable installations, plus imported power.

Energocom reserved capacity both on the Day-Ahead Market and on the Intraday Market given that the commercial capacity at the border with Romania is limited for the Republic of Moldova to 315 MW band (24 hours a day) out of the 650-800 MW needed in winter.
