Energocom to transfer back 1 billion lei to state budget

SA Energocom will pay back 1 billion lei into the state budget. Such a decision was taken by the Commission for Exceptional Situations given the stabilization of the situation on the natural gas market, the decline in the purchase piece of gas and the sufficient stores accumulated for the 2023 – 2024 winter season, IPN reports.

Another decision refers to the enhancement of the capacity to transport natural gas to gas reservoirs in Ukraine. The transport system operator will supply SA Energocom, for the period until November 1, 2023, with additional capacities created throughout the period at all the interconnection points.

Also, in order to secure the amounts of electricity needed on the domestic market, in October – December 2023, SA Energocom will purchase the electrical energy requested by suppliers and system operators by signing contracts based on direct negations or through the natural gas exchange. If the conditions for purchasing electricity are modified, the suppliers and system operators, during two workdays of the signing of the procurement contracts, will sign additional agreements to the contracts with SA Energocom.

The Commission for Exceptional Situations also decided to allocate 2.7 million lei from the Government’s intervention fund to the Ministry of Health for repairing the roofs of buildings of the Edinet Public Health Center, which were damaged as a result of the most recent natural disasters.
