SA Energocom for next month will buy 290,000 MWh from the MGRES power plant (Kuchurgan) of the Transnistrian region. This is 92% of the necessary amount. The price is US$66 per MWh, which was agreed last month for a period of six months, IPN reports.

According to Energocom, the rest of the necessary electricity – an estimated 30,000 MWh - will be purchased from Ukrhidroenergo. The price for daytime is US$95 per MWh, while for nighttime is US$55 per MWh. This is the first contract with distinct prices for daytime and nighttime signed by SA Energocom.

The Romanian company SN Nuclearelectrica SA scheduled maintenance works for next month. If necessary, Energocom during the peak rate can purchase power from the Romanian electricity market operator OPCOM.
