The electricity consumption forecast for Thursday, January 16, on the right bank of the Dniester is similar to today's. Energocom has fully booked the commercial capacity at the border with Romania needed to supplement domestic production with imports, IPN reports.
According to Enrgocom, in addition to the electricity generated by the Chisinau and Balti district heating power plants and renewable energy facilities, the rest of the consumption needs will be covered by imported energy, based on bilateral contracts or on the exchange.
Consumers are urged to save electricity during peak hours, "both to lower their bills and to ensure the reliability of the power system".
