A number of consumers with debts for heat from Chisinau’s Ciocana district were visited by the bailiff and representatives of the public heat utility, IPN reports.
According to a communiqué from SA “Termocom”, the bailiff confiscated the license plate of a Land Rover belonging to an end-user with debts of over 20,000 lei. In several hours, the owner settled the debt and received the license plate back.
Another person was given 10 days to clear the debts. Otherwise, his car will be sequestrated and sold.
During a month since May 20, SA Termocom carried out a campaign to inform the debtors about the necessity of paying the debts. About 150 employees of the company’s subdivisions visited more than 17,000 apartments and agreed over 6,000 debt rescheduling timetables. Those who refused to conclude such timetables were sued.
The company’s administration informs that in cooperation with the housing stock managers and bailiffs, they will continue to make effort to recover the debts and to make sure that the overdue payments for heat are made.
