Volunteer advisers of the Anti-suicide Green Line of the public association “Altruism” will give advice to persons going through difficult situations. An Encouragement Tent will be pitched in the square near the Triumphal Arch in Chisinau, where the volunteer advisers will offer assistance to those who need emotional support on the first Saturday of each month until October inclusive. They will speak to the people, will listen to them and will give them a hug, IPN reports.

The volunteer advisers will be present in the tent between 1pm and 9pm. The persons who will seek help will be able to leave a positive message or a drawing on the tent. The coloring tools will be provided by the organizers. The visitors of the Encouragement Tent will also be able to apply to training seminars to become volunteer advisers of the Anti-suicide Line themselves.

The members of the association call on the persons who go through difficult patches, have suicidal tendencies, attempted to commit suicide or lost close persons who killed themselves to ask for specialized assistance and receive emotional support through the anonymous chat of the Anti-suicide Green Line on www.pentruviata.md, between 7pm and 9pm.

During two years since its launch, the Anti-suicide Green Line offered assistance to over 700 persons.
