In connection with the withdrawal from circulation of the employment record books as from January 2019, the Cabinet decided that the books will be issued to employees under signature until December 28, 2018, IPN reports.

The records that will be included in the employment record books by January 1, 2019 will remain valid. When setting the pension, the insurance period until January 1, 1999 will be confirmed through employment records books that will be presented in the original or as copies. As of May 15, 2018, the National House of Social Insurance will start to scan the data from employment record books so as to complete the personal social insurance accounts with information about the insurance period until January 1, 1999.

The information from the employment record books presented by employers will be stored in the   state register of individual contributions.
