The National Confederation of Employers considers the distribution of funds to medical service providers to be “non-transparent and unaccounted for”. According to the Confederation, funds have been considerably reduced for some private contractors “without plausible and evidential arguments”. In an open letter to Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilița, the Confederation requests institutional support to identify solutions and “restore equity”.
“We wouldn’t want to think that the created situation is due to administrative or political pressure on the management of the National Health Insurance Company (CNAM). We draw attention to the fact that the perception of medical and sanitary institutions boils down to the fact that, with the signing of the agreement with CNAM, they become hostages of the public authority. On the other hand, the essential question that companies in the area ask themselves is: ‘What must we do to have the security of tomorrow?’ We have no evidence that such mechanisms are part of an action fueling passive corruption”, the letter reads.
According to the Confederation, the lack of genuine negotiations at the conclusion of contracts with CNAM, forcing service providers to accept tariffs below the cost price of the approved services, and cuts in the total volume of contracted services are the most frequent issues that companies face. “Considering the increase in management expenses, as well as inflation, this financial burden will be incompatible with the real possibilities of private companies to provide medical services”, says the National Confederation of Employers.
