Employers and trade unions will defend rights together

The employers and trade unions of Moldova at the end of January will sign a cooperation agreement that will allow them to act in common to defend their rights. “On January 24, we will have a meeting with the executive bodies of these institutions to discuss a number of problems and to sign a cooperation agreement that contains issues of common interest in the further activity of the employers and trade unions,” the chairman of the National Employers Confederation of Moldova Leonid Cerescu stated for Info-Prim Neo. The employers and trade unions will discuss the measures that must be taken to combat the underground economy and illegal labor and the implementation of the principles aimed at preventing the unproductive costs incurred by the employers (allowances for work in noxious conditions). Leonid Cerescu also said that the National Employers Confederation will organize a press campaign centering on the working conditions imposed following the introduction of legislative amendments that oblige the employers to pay sickness benefit for three days of sick leave to the employee, as against one day at present. A Congress of Businessmen will take place at the end of April to discuss the problems and conditions in which the Moldovan economic entities work.
