About 500 specialists, employees of local public institutions, hospitals or schools of Chisinau, could receive 1,000 lei a month in assistance from the City Hall during the first three years of work if a draft decision to this effect is approved by the Municipal Council. The initiative was put forward by the leader of the Socialist group on the Council Ion Ceban and was announced in a news conference, IPN reports.

According to the councilor, about 2 million lei was identified for implementing the given initiative in September – December this year. The list of beneficiaries was compiled and the Chisinau Municipal Council is to only agree the decision in the next meeting.

Ion Ceban said the money that will be paid to the beneficiaries could be used to pay rent or the installments on a home loan as the absence of dwellings is a problem and the young specialists leave the country and the system even if there are hundreds of vacancies available here.
