Employees laid off as part of CPA reform to receive 25,000 lei
The former employees of the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Justice, the Dispatch Service, the Penitentiary Department and the Anti-Corruption Center who have been laid off as part of the Central Public Administration (CPA) reform will receive lump-sum compensations of 25,000 lei, under a Government's decision.
The Government on Wednesday approved the allocation of 16 million lei from the State Budget to pay redundancy compensations to the former CPA employees.
The decision was adopted in order to avoid the accumulation of debts in relation to the laid off employees and also to prevent legal claims, including at the European Court of Human Rights.
