Eminescu celebrated in China

Poet Mihai Eminescu was celebrated at the National School “October 1” in Beijing within the Romanian Culture Days. The students prepared a wide artistic program on this occasion, presenting a play about weddings in the Romanian area, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a communiqué from the Embassy of Moldova in Beijing. The invitees to the event - the Ambassadors of Moldova and Romania Anatol Urecheanu and Doru Costea - spoke about the continual value of the poet and the ties developed by Moldova and Romania with China. Anatol Urecheanu stressed that the Moldovan-Chinese traditional friendship relations continue to develop 20 years of the establishment of the bilateral relations, underlining the importance of the interhuman relations. The ambassadors thanked the hosts for their interest in the values of the Romanian culture, history and literature. Both the school’s students and teachers received presents. The bags prepared by the children for the Embassy of Moldova included a CD with the film “Legend of the silk road”, which features Ana Ropot, a Moldovan studying in Beijing. She holds the title Miss Foreigner-2010. Events dedicated to the traditional winter holidays in Moldova were also held in Estonia’s Tallinn. They were organized by the Moldovan embassy and the diaspora. All the events included tasting of national dishes. On January 15, it was 162 years of the birth of the great poet Mihai Eminescu.
