Emilian Galaicu-Paun: Voting in runoff is of vital importance

Voting in the presidential runoff is of vital importance, poet Emilian Galaicu-Paun stated for IPN. According to him, the voters who allow the undecided ones to represent a majority and the votes are thus redistributed and they are every time losers lack the feeling of citizenship.

“I consider voting in elections is of vital importance because we cannot allow those who do not take part in the political life to decide our fate,” stated Emilian Galaicu-Paun.

The poet voiced hope that the voter turnout in the presidential runoff will be much higher than in the first round of voting, especially owing to those who project somehow their future in Moldova. “Even if we had a dirty election campaign with all kinds of insinuations, we cannot take a step backward and allow others to decide our fate,” he said.

According to Emilian Galaicu-Paun, there is a now breath of fresh air that blows in the Moldovan politics. “I’m sure that the people who showed their professionalism in their areas can do much more for the country. That’s why I hope that from next Monday we will be confident that, beyond statements in support of statehood, this country has chances through its worthy people,” stated the poet.
