Squads to intervene in cases of calamities, huge accidents, and to defend major objects and to fight crime and terrorism are created in the Transnistrian area, Info-Prim Neo’s correspondent in the area reports. The first squad was created in Rabnita, consisting of five battalions with a total number of 1,000 members, while there are 16,000 servicemen in reserve in the town. Last week police unfolded practical applications in the area. They simulated an operation of liquidating an armed gang; they developed actions meant to prevent terror acts, to protect civilians and to free hostages. The exercises were attended by the special destination battalion “Dnestr”.
