An emergency medical assistance unit was opened in Vasieni village of Ialoveni district. According to the Government’s press service, the medical unit set up at a cost of 2 million lei will serve about 15,000 residents of five villages: Vasieni, Ulmu, Horodca, Rusestii Noi, and Rusestii Vechi.
The unit has a complete team consisting of doctors, doctor’s assistants and ambulance drivers as well as a new ambulance, medical equipment, parapharmaceutical articles, sanitary equipment and medicines.
Attending the inaugural ceremony, Prime Minister Iurie Leanca said that he knows what work at an emergency medical assistance unit implies and how important it is for the people to benefit from medical services of a high quality and for the doctors and nurses to enjoy good working conditions.
“My mother has worked in the area of emergency medical assistance for 55 years and does not imagine life without her job. I’m glad to see young specialists here. The villagers must benefit from services of the highest quality and I’m sure that this unit can provide such services,” stated the Premier.
The emergency service will work round-the-clock.
