The Emergency Admissions Unit of “Emilian Coțaga” National Clinical Children’s Hospital was officially opened on the occasion of the 65th anniversary of the founding of the institution, IPN reports.
According to the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection, the heating, hot and drinking water supply and ventilation systems were renovated. The doors and windows were replaced and the elevator was restarted. “The COVID-19 pandemic underlined the necessity of doing this so as to be able to cope with any crisis situation in public health,” stated Minister of Health Viorica Dumbrăveanu.
The hospital’s director Vasile Tomuz thanked the Ministry of Health for its openness and support. A number of healthcare workers were awarded Government, Parliament and Heath Ministry diplomats in gratitude for their professional devotion. An excellence diploma was awarded to the whole staff by the Executive Bureau of the Trade Union Federation “Health”.
The repair works cost 5 million lei. The Ministry contributed 3.6 million lei, while the other costs were covered by the medical institution.
